JohnDOVASTONSuddenly, on the 17th March 2024, John Dovaston, Mulloch View, Dalry.

Much loved husband of Alison and a devoted dad to Anthony, Gareth, Matthew, Luke, Jamie and Jessica. He was an adored grandad to Taylor, Mitchell, Katie, Millie, Ava-Gracie, Lucy and Liam and great grandad to Olivia-Kate and Louie-Jay. John was also a beloved father in law to Lisa and Jenna.

Funeral service will take place on Tuesday 9th April at 12 noon in Twynholm Parish Church, followed by interment in Twynholm Cemetery.

All friends are respectfully invited to attend. Family flowers only please. If so desired, donations for BEN may be given at the service.

To my amazing grandad,
I never ever thought I would be writing this in a million years but you were the best man in the world and I was so lucky to call you my grandad u never failed to put a smile on our face I hope you will be looking down on us every single day grandad words can’t explain how broken I am for u to have left us, u used to always say to me friends r nothing your mam n dad are the only people you need in your life there the real ones and told me to look after mam and dad and that’s what im goin to do for you grandad miss you with every single breath I take

Never in a million years did I ever think I’d be writing this so soon…..💔You literally were the rock to our whole family. You always had a smile on your face, and that laugh I’ll never forget. The Harry and George stories will always be a part of all us grandchildren. “One more grandad, one more story” . And you waited on the land-an until we were all asleep. You had a heart of gold and someone I’ll always look up to. The drawings in our birthday cards, you never failed to make us smile even when you couldn’t be with us. You would always be that person we all went to without feeling judged, we could sit and tell you anything. You were one amazing family man, so dedicated to every single one of us in our own way. I’ll never ever forget you grandad, you will always be with us. I love you all of the world💙I’m so honoured that you got to meet my lickle dynamite(livvy loo). I know you adored the bones of her. Each time you seen her was like a magical experience and it was amazing to see. She loves you very much. ❤️we all do and never forget that. You will be our greatest miss!
